PETER SIDDLE

Peter Siddle was Ricky Ponting’s, and is now Michael Clarke’s go to bowler in test match cricket. The fearsome strike bowler has produced some lionhearted bowling spells that have resulted in test and series wins for the Australian team.

His hat trick against England in the first test of the 2010-11 Ashes series was one of those moments dismissing key batters in Cook, Prior and Broad.

Siddle’s excellent test performance of late has meant Australian selection has been restricted to the longer version of the game to ensure Australia can return to the number one ranked nation in the world.
