Nick Smith

Hailing from Scotch College and Oakleigh Chargers, Smith was selected by the Swans in the 2007 NAB AFL Rookie Draft and debuted against Geelong in Round 5, 2008.

Smith’s hard work paid off in the latter part of 2009, where some outstanding matches showed that he has what it takes to be a successful and feared defender.

Able to shut down a range of opponents, Smith’s efforts in the 2012 AFL Finals were crucial to the Swans’ eventual Premiership success.
