Anna Segal is a consistent feature on Ski Slopestyle podiums worldwide, and is in an excellent position to win gold at the Winter Olympics in Sochi.
Anna Segal has been representing Australia on mountains around the world since 2003. Initially, Anna experienced success in the Moguls. However, it is since she switched to Slopestyle that Anna has catapulted herself into Olympic medal contention.
Since switching from Moguls to Slopestyle, Anna has enjoyed victories on the international circuit, beginning with the Women’s US Freeskiing Open in 2007. Anna also took out the inaugural Women’s Ski Slopestyle at Winter X Games in 2009. It was at the start of 2011 at Deer Valley, USA that Anna cemented herself at the top of Women’s Slopestyle by being crowned World Champion.
The 2011-2012 season saw Anna reaffirm her place in the elite of Women’s Slopestyle, winning first place at the AFP World Championships in Whistler, 2nd place in the Euro X Games 2012 and Winter Dew Tour 2012, and 3rd Place in the Winter X Games 2012.
In 2013, Anna placed 3rd in the World Cup at Copper Mountain, USA. Competing with a knee injury, Anna chose to rest during the World Championship in March, to ensure she would be ready for the SLopestyle competition at the Winter Olympics in 2014.
